Introduction

The R180 viscometer is a portable, battery-operated instrument designed for rapid and accurate viscosity determination either as a stand-alone laboratory instrument or for use directly in the production environment.

Ideal for fluid applications such as cosmetics, paints, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and food, the R180's unique design allows it to be immersed directly in the sample, without having to transfer the sample to the laboratory. This allows you to measure the viscosity in your process while reducing your cost per measurement. Up to 50 experiments can be stored in the R180's memory, and can be transferred directly to a PC for later analysis. Built-in test programs speed the learning curve, and custom test protocols can be programmed and stored.

The R180 comes complete with all accessories in its own rugged case.

Measurement Systems

A wide range of measurement systems allows viscosity measurements oven an extensive range of samples. The measuring systems are manufactured according to DIN 53018ff for standardized determination of absolute viscosity. Additional measuring systems are available for samples with high solids content or special dispersions.
